Frenchgate Centre refurbishment - Doncaster

In 2005 I completed a refurbishment project for a shopping centre in Doncaster. A new shopping mall had been built and the adjoining mall was to be updated to match the new project.

The refurbishment consisted of two corner towers to be attached on to the existing building, and a new entrance area. One of the corner towers was to house a giant TV screen. Both towers had 'halo' feature roofs.

Although this project was small in weight, it was made interesting by the fact that is was a refit to an existing building. This meant a great deal of survey work was required, along with the production of demolition drawings in order to instruct site which parts of the existing structure needed to be removed.
